The Glen Canyon Dam constructed on the Colorado River during the late 50's and the early 60's created one of the most majestic manmade lakes in North America – Lake Powell.
Located at the remote location in northern Arizona, Lake Powell and the Lake Powell National Recreation Area have over 2,000 miles of shoreline. The 'un-natural' forms of shoreline created by flooded rock canyons make the lake a boater's exploration paradise.
The nearby town of Page, AZ, created as a planned community for workers at the Glen Canyon Dam now acts as the main service hub for visitors coming to the lake.
All hotels and motels in Page are located within 5 miles of the Wahweap Marina, the visitor center and the Dam. Page hotels and motels are a popular overnight stop for travelers on their way from Zion and Bryce to the Grand Canyon.
