Once described as 'the most expensively constructed and appointed log house in America' the El Tovar opened its doors in January, 1905, as the luxury hotel at the Grand Canyon for the Santa Fe Railway.
Registered National Historic Landmark, the hotel is located just twenty feet from the very edge of the south rim of the Grand Canyon.
The 78 air-conditioned guest rooms at the Grand Canyon El Tovar Hotel feature cable TV and telephone but retain much of their Victorian charm.
On-site is a dining room serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner and a guest lounge.
